Infrared Sauna Craze Hits Texas With Opening of Trendy New Austin Studio

Infrared saunas have taken over wellness trends all over the country, and now Austin is in on it. Perspire Sauna Studio, an infrared sauna therapy spa, is opening in Austin this summer in the West Lake Hills.

The 2,045 square-foot studio will include 13 private rooms, each equipped with a state-of-the-art infrared Clearlight Sanctuary Sauna, and amenities such as Smart TVs programmed with Netflix and Pandora, and cold towel service after each session.

Popping up all over the country and earning love from wellness fanatics, infrared saunas provide a therapeutic heat that purports to support relaxation, relieve aches and pains, and help muscles recover faster. Perspire’s saunas also come equipped with medical-grade chromotherapy technology, a treatment that uses colors of electromagnetic light to treat various diseases and ailments.

The Austin Perspire – the company’s first location in Texas — will be located at 3300 Bee Caves Road.

The saunas are equipped with full spectrum infrared heat waves that penetrate deep into the cells, joints, muscles and tissue, speeding oxygen flow and increasing circulation while removing impurities that build up over time. As an added bonus, sauna users are supposed to burn 200 to 400 calories per session.
