Every Shoe Girl’s Dream
Coveted Brand Lets Customers Design Their Own Heels in a Special Houston Event
By Hannah Swiggard //
British footwear king Jimmy Choo is giving Houston’s shoe obsessed something to get excited about. How about an exclusive two-day event at Tootsies that gives you the opportunity to custom design the Jimmy Choo shoes and bags of your dreams?
With a bevy of customizable variations, the made-to-order service provides the ultimate personal shoe experience.
The unique bespoke service first launched at Jimmy Choo’s Beverly Hills boutique where it remains a permanent fixture. Due to its popularity, Jimmy Choo took the service on the road, bringing it in traveling trunk shows that make stops all across the world — from Paris to London… and now, Houston.
“Bringing this made-to-order service directly to our customers in our stores allows us to faithfully preserve our heritage of personalization, and allow every woman to have a bespoke pair of Jimmy Choo shoes and evening bag,” Choo creative director Sandra Choi says.
On the shoe side, customers select from 20 iconic styles and customize their new shoes by way of heel heights and more than 20 fabric variations. Materials range from the classic leather and exotic snake skin to the finest suede and satin — all in an array of colors and prints.
Furthering the personalization, there is the option to monogram the bottom of the shoes in gold with initials, a meaningful date, or a simple “I <3 U” — a personal touch that makes your heel one-of-a-kind and exclusive to only one person (you).
With more and more powerhouse fashion brands embracing the personalization trend (monogrammed jackets and accessories are becoming must haves), it’s no surprise that Jimmy Choo bags also can be customized and created for you.
Now to the burning question: Which Choos will you choose?
Stop by Tootsies all day Thursday, October 27 or Friday, October 28 to design your own pair of Jimmy Choos.
