A Major Fashion Coup for Westheimer’s Finest
Fendi Shows Off Its Furs at Sloan/Hall

Houston’s Sloan/Hall is rolling out the red carpet to welcome racks upon racks of Fendi’s finest collection for a three-day Fendi couture trunk show. The show’s a major coup for the upscale Westheimer fixture. Fendi pop-ups are rare — and coveted.
The three-day trunk show, which starts today (Monday, Oct. 17), will be full of the famed Italian fashion house’s signature material: Fur.
The collaboration was born after Sloan/Hall owner Shannon Hall attended Fendi’s couture fur show in April. A private appointment followed the next day with Fendi experts showcasing the insane amount of labor and detail it takes to create the special collection.
“It was an astonishing revelation to see creativity and craftsmanship come together to make these beautiful pieces of art,” Hall writes in an email.
This year marks Fendi’s 90th anniversary, and creative director Karl Lagerfeld could not let it pass without an over-the-top collection. The trunk show is open to all at Sloan/Hall this Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (October 17, 18 and 19) from 10 am to 6:30 pm daily. In addition to furs, the store will host a curated selection of bags and accessories.
Fendi will donate 10 percent of sales to Nomad Two Worlds Foundation, an organization that uses art to bridge the gap between western culture and marginalized indigenous peoples from around the world. Locally, Nomad Two Worlds’ efforts are spearheaded by Hall’s friend Fadila Kibsgaard, who is co-hosting the Fendi show.
“I am so honored and grateful that Fendi was willing to collaborate on a special trunk show,” Hall says in an email.
After all, it’s not every day that Fendi comes calling.
At Sloan/Hall, 2620 Westheimer Rd.
