Inside Round Top’s Luxe VIP Land — The Halles Provides a Real Respite From the Crazy Fun of the Antiques Show
Pampering, Priceless Parking and Perks
BY Shelby Hodge // 10.22.21This group of Houston femmes are among the first to take advantage of the inaugural VIP Experience at The Halles during the Round Top Antiques Show.
Houstonian Tye Taft and pals sauntered in to The Halles at Round Top for a little pampering and a comfy respite from the bustling Fall Antiques Show, which will only build in momentum throughout the remainder of the fair that runs through October 31. They were among the early comers taking advantage of the VIP Experience.
Anyone who has ever attended the wildly successful biannual show knows just how busy — and albeit how fun — the antique shopping extravaganza can get. As the Explore Round Top website notes, “It’s a level of insanity rarely seen in the Texas countryside.” But what delicious insanity. We and the 100,000 other visitors would not miss it.
Now with the inaugural VIP Experience at The Halles, the show becomes all the more enjoyable. Early into their shopping adventure Taft and friends tucked into The Halles for a morning mimosa and coffee served with muffins. Had they popped in during the afternoon, they would have been offered a margarita and queso with chips.
Of course, if they had really worked up a thirst, they could have waltzed over to the cash bar for other adult libations. Show-goers who have worked up an appetite will find plenty to take care of any hunger pangs at the award-winning Blind Fox food truck, which is on site throughout the show.
Not only as a sanctuary from the antique and design hubbub, The Halles also serves as a meeting place between designers, antique dealers and clients. In addition to the VIP area, The Halles plays host to a dozen vendors ranging from Joey Saab Rugs to The Neutral Nest.
Yes, there are swag bags, free Wi-Fi and charging stations but perhaps most important are the reserved parking spaces and clean bathrooms, two commodities at something of a ration when those thousands of visitors pour in. There is also a concierge on standby to help visitors organize their antiques and design shopping adventures.
As a bonus, the VIP Experience ticket includes an invitation to The Halles End of Year Party, this Wednesday, October 27, celebrating Benjamin Moore’s Color of the Year and to entrance to the invitation-only moderated (Paige and Smooth Hull) talk and book-signing by HGTV’s Demo Darling Jasmine Roth on Monday.
VIP Experience tickets priced at $150 per person are available here and at the entry to The Halles.
