5 Buzzy New Dallas Restaurants to Try Right Now

If you’re a Dallas foodie like us, you like to stay on top of all the new restaurants opening in the city. So here, we’re rounding up the hot spots being talked about right now. From a new Cajun-Texas spot at Victory Park to an East Dallas neighborhood pizza joint, these are the most buzzy new Dallas restaurants to try right now.

Bluebonnet + Thyme Southern Bistro & Bar

2610 N. Houston Street

This new Cajun-Texas restaurant recently took over the former Dirty Bones space in Dallas’ Victory Park. The 3,386-square-foot concept is Chef Kendall Williams’ (who owns Pretty Tasty Foods catering company) first brick-and-mortar. Williams was the winner of the Most Creative dish at the State Fair of Texas in 2025 for her wagyu bacon cheeseburger deviled egg sliders. Although this exact item isn’t on the B+T menu, highlights include the Golden Fried Hen, Gulf Red Snapper, Seafood Linguine, and Southern Banana Pudding.

Salisbury’s Pizza

A new New York-style pizza joint in East Dallas (in the former Be Home Soon space), Salisbury’s comes from husband-and-wife Will and Julie Salisbury. It’s quickly gained popularity for its casual, homegrown vibes and delicious pies. Both Will and Julie come from fine dining backgrounds. The two helped open Carbone in the Design District in 2022, while Will was also a sous chef at Bullion, and Julie was a sommelier at concepts like Monarch and 55 Seventy. On their pizza menu, diners will find the classics, as well as a baked ziti pie (by the slice or whole pizza). There are also a few pastas, salads, garlic knots, and a chicken cutlets dish — either “Parm’d or Salisbury’s Style.”

JOEY Maple

In 2024, Canadian hospitality group JOEY Restaurants debuted its first Dallas outpost of the concept at NorthPark Center. Now, the second Dallas location of JOEY is open in Uptown, and it’s just as stunning as the shopping center’s. The interior design centers around an indoor/outdoor environment with a skylight and perimeter operable windows. Guests will also notice a gallery wall featuring one-of-a-kind works by America Martin, B Shawn Cox, and James Wolanin. Led by Executive Chef Matthew Stowe (a winning Top Chef alum), the JOEY Maple menu features a few new bites like mini bistro burgers, ravioli bianco, ahi tuna duo roll, and The Royale burger.

Élephante

Just down the street from JOEY Maple, this Los Angeles-based restaurant from With You Were Here Group has finally debuted in Uptown. Élephante Dallas features two stories of indoor/outdoor dining space, as well as a sleek design with a bar centerpiece that boasts a suspended canopy of illuminated wine bottles above a sculptural oak and stone bar. As for the menu, highlights include wood-fired pizzas, house-made pastas, and more.

Scilla
