Look for fireworks in the sky and on the stage at this year’s Southwest Airlines Freedom Over Texas celebration, headlined by country crooners Clint Black and Josh Turner. Also performing will be Buckwheat Zydeco, Ernest Walker, Shemekia Copeland, Jimmie Vaughan, Thunder Soul and La Orquesta Salmerum. But that’s only part of the Fourth of July fun. Festivities will also include an entertainment area for children, a stirring salute to the military, the Bud Light Lime-A-Rita Beach Bash, Houston professional sport team set-ups, music, food and more. Co-produced by the City of Houston and ABC 13, it all takes place at Eleanor Tinsley Park, Sam Houston Park and along Allen Parkway.
