What: Cos Bar Dallas Luncheon
Where: Grange Hall
PC Moment: In the past, beauty-savvy Dallasites were forced to trek to Aspen or Santa Fe to reach skincare and cosmetics mecca Cos Bar. The intimate, luxury beauty boutique opened its first shop in the Colorado ski town in 1976, and has slowly expanded its reach since, opening 20 stores in the United States, including the newest in The Plaza at Preston Center. The Dallas location officially made its debut this week, combining the mystique of a French pharmacy with new-age technology.
It is the second store to feature Cos Bar’s sleek new design prototype – pale blush-toned walls, grey washed Aspen wood floors, white marble fixtures, rose gold accents and digital displays. The 1,200 square-foot space is stocked with potions, perfumes and powders from thoughtfully curated brands including La Mer, Tata Harper, Tom Ford, Serge Lutens, Clé de Peau, Miriam Quevedo and Sisley-Paris.
Cos Bar founder Lily Garfield celebrated the new Preston Center boutique with a few stylish Dallas women (and soon-to-be Cos Bar devotees) at Grange Hall. Bag Snob Tina Craig – a beauty guru in her own right – co-hosted the luncheon with Garfield. Also in attendance: stylist Nini Nguyen, Catherine Lowe, Lynn McBee, Heidi Dillon, Piper Wyatt, Brooke Davenport, Cristina Lynch, Joyce Goss, Mimi Slater and Wanda Gierhart.
