Entertaining Dream Duo Welcomes a Young Italian Jewelry Scion to Houston

Two hostesses are better than one. Becca Cason Thrash and Greggory Burk formed a de facto entertaining dream team to welcome young Italian jewelry designer Delfina Delettrez Fendi to Texas for the first time.

Fendi’s fine jewelry is surrealist and modern — phantom settings give the illusion of jewels floating on the body — and very au courant.

Delettrez Fendi’s inaugural Texas visit was thanks to her friend/The Webster founder Laure Hériard Dubreuil, who hosted tea and shopping at her chic Galleria store earlier that afternoon.

Yes, Delettrez Fendi is one of those Fendis. The fourth-generation family member to the storied luxury fashion house, Delettrez Fendi founded her own jewelry label Delfina Delettrez in 2007 at the age of 19.

Earlier this year, Delettrez Fendi put her edgy spin on the Fendi Peekaboo bag, originally designed by her mother Silvia Venturini Fendi, in a special collaboration with The Webster to celebrate the joint 10-year anniversaries of both the bag and the boutique.

At Burk’s beautiful River Oaks abode, Delettrez Fendi and Hériard Dubreuil dished on their fun weekend at the Marfa Myths music festival to a carefully curated guest list of BCT’s and Burk’s besties over cocktails and Texas-meets-Italian comfort foods like pasta with truffle oil, quesadillas, antipasto and grilled shrimp.

Guests gushed over Burk’s home, recently renovated in high style by designer Courtney Hill Fertitta and architect Nadia Palacios Lauterbach and featured earlier that week online in House Beautiful.
