French Film Premieres at River Oaks Country Club, Draws Crowd of Doctors and Francophiles

What: The premiere screening of The American in Paris: The Real Story About the American Hospital in Paris
Where: River Oaks Country Club
PC Moment: Hosted by Donna Josey Chapman, the champagne screening attracted a chic set of Francophiles and American Hospital of Paris supporters. Leading remarks on the hospital and the film was John Crawford, vice chairman of the board of governors of the hospital which was created by an act of Congress in 1913.
The film covered the hospital’s founding and the service it provided during World War I and World War II as well as today’s collaborative work between American and French medical institutions.
