PC Moment: When four soon-to-be well-fed couples placed the high bid on an authentic Italian dinner prepared by UTHealth president Dr. Giuseppe Colasurdo. Their contribution and that of the 500-plus other guests brought proceeds to $5.6 million, making it a truly stellar night for gala chairs Kathy O’Neil and Phil Ferguson, who also wears the hat of UT Health Development Board president. The evening honored the generous legacy of the late Dr. John McGovern and his wife, Kathrine McGovern. The McGovern family foundation gifted UTHealth with a transformational $75 million gift last fall.
