What: Houston Ballet Ball “Enchantment”
Where: Grand Foyer of Wortham Theater Center
PC Moment: The truly elegant evening was made all the more glamorous by a flock of social swans feathered in exquisite designer gowns, befitting the enchanting theme which was a nod to artistic director Stanton Welch‘s production of Cinderella, which premieres March 2. The gowns served as the perfect foil for the rustic castle decor that evoked the aura of Camelot. The stunning decor was created by The Events Co.
We can’t be sure if it was the congeniality of the 600 guests or the vision of the lovelies that was the cause, but this animated crowd did not want to sit down for dinner. Had they known how delish was the City Kitchen feast that awaited, they might have moved more quickly.
Who: Ball chairs Anne and Albert Chao, honoree Ann Trammell, Phoebe and Bobby Tudor, Jo and Jim Furr, Ceron and Todd Fiscus, Diane Lokey Farb, Tenenbaum‘s Tony Bradfield and Kevin Black, Marcia Backus and Mike Hood, Lynda Underwood, Ann and Carl Stern, Beth Muecke, Donetella and Fred Benckenstein, Martha Turner and Glenn Bauguss, and Alesha and Lance Smith.
