Who: Chairs Zane and Brady Carruth; honorees Jessica Farrar, Doug Pitcock, Carroll Robertson Ray, and Kay and Steve Stevens; HSPCA president Patricia Mercer, Lana Hughes, Betty Hrncir, Hugh Ray, and Valerie and Tracy Dietrich.
PC Moment: Also honoring President George H.W. Bush and wife Barbara (who were unable to attend), animal lovers raised well over $700,000 for Texas’ largest animal welfare organization; the “Mission Marketplace,” fueled by donations, was ground zero for life-affirming items such as heartworm treatment for dogs, surgical equipment and funding for the Cinderella fund that helps critically injured and sick animals get a second lifeline.
