Houston’s Local TV News Stars Turn Into Models For This High-Energy Show
When the Celebrities and the Fashion Hit Home

What: Star of Hope Celebrity luncheon and fashion show
Where: River Oaks Country Club
PC Moment: The fundraiser took place on the very day that Houston area residents would find themselves paddling if not floating home thanks to ridiculous rainfall totals across the region. That meant all hands on deck in TV and radio newsrooms across the city. So six of the 18 news celebs scheduled to take the catwalk had to cancel at the last minute.
Those able to fulfill their commitment in high style with fashions from Elizabeth Anthony and M Penner were Deborah Duncan, Natalie Hee, Melissa Wilson, Greg Onofrio, Jose Grinan, Sophia Beausoleil, Andy Cerota, Sally MacDonald, Len Cannon, Lina de Florias, Chauncy Glover and Mia Gradney.
Those sending apologies, having had to bow to the weather gods, Dominique Sachse, Rachelle Carrillo, Jen Driskill, Lauren Talarico, Danile Gotera and his wife, Rashi Vats.
But the show must go on and surely it did with emcees Tom Koch and Dana Tyson taking up the slack, barely missing a beat before the gathering of 300. The role of chair was a family affair with Stephanie Tsuru, her daughters Kylee and Bailey, daughter-in-law Katie and granddaughters Lucy and Stella taking the helm.
Words from a young college student, who with her mother found refuge in Star of Hope, confirmed the value of the shelter for the homeless.
PC Seen: Maria Bush, Aimee Snoots, Bobbie Nau, Beth Wolf, Betty Hrncir, Maggie Dietert, Rosie Daamgard, Lesha Elsenbrook, Kelli Weinzierl, DeeDee Marsh and Yvonne Johnson.
