What: National Multiple Sclerosis Society “On the Move” luncheon
Where: River Oaks Country Club
PC Moment: After their presentation on living life to its fullest, Jennifer and Dan Digmann, both with MS, received a standing ovation from the gathering of 400. Authors of Despite MS, to Spite MS, the Michigan couple met at a National MS Society conference in 2005, later married and became each other’s caregivers. The luncheon honored Emily Cove as Person On the Move, Southern Smoke for Company On the Move (accepted by chef and founder Chris Shepherd), and Marilyn Jaggard with the Above and Beyond Award. Applause, applause for chairs Ashley Cruse and Catie Ross for the event that raised $200,000 for multiple sclerosis research.
