Cause: Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children
Texas Scottish Rite Hospital memories. I will never forget watching a child, who was totally immobilized, and how his father was caring for him.
Business rules. Do right by everyone and always keep your feet on the ground. And, for young and old companies alike: Always keep a silver chest of savings for the not-so-good times or for emergencies.
A Louisiana childhood. I will always carry with me memories of being on our farm — still one of the most important parts of my life.
Can’t live without. My partner, Shelby Wagner. Family. Friends. My animals. My farm. Bath salts.
Sage advice. From my dad, “Always move forward. Never stand still.”
Business travel. The last place I went was to Shreveport, Louisiana, for a personal appearance.
Pleasure travel. The next place will be the private island, Mustique.
Grooming essentials for gents. Pre-shave cream, shave cream, facial cleanser/exfoliator and a moisturizer. All of which I produce! Oh, and hand cream. Everyone should use hand cream.
Your personal style. Unpredictable, ever changing and not too cautious. I love switching it up and I always have an emergency T-shirt with me.
The importance of giving back. Shortly after I moved to Dallas, I saw how many people my amazing cousins, Dee and Charles Wyly, were helping. Watching them made a huge difference.
More about this series: Dallas is a city famed for giving back. Each year, NorthPark Center recognizes our city’s most influential philanthropists who are making differences in our community to garner further exposure for their favorite charities.
NorthPark Center Luxury Ambassadors are hand-selected for their contributions and efforts in the areas of visual and performing arts, children’s causes, and research in health and sciences. Each year-long ambassadorship offers the opportunity to partner with NorthPark Center for various initiatives and events benefiting their favorite North Texas non-profit institutions.
The program was formed in 2016 as an extension of the shopping center’s “Fifty Years of Giving” anniversary celebration in 2015.
