What: Fall Fashion Preview Brunch benefiting The Family Place’s Partners Card

Where: JOEY Dallas at NorthPark Center

PC Moment: When the purple and red balloons go UP, you know the most wonderful time of the year in Dallas has officially commenced! Every local Mrs. Claus plans accordingly because the best holiday shopping starts and ends with Partners Card, the 10-day signature fundraiser of The Family Place and presented by Bank of Texas. Here’s the premise: The purchase of a $100 Partners Card unlocks a 20 percent discount at more than 750 local retailers. With the majority of the retail community opting in to rally for the cause, it’s the single best week to shop in the Big D.

This year’s Partners Card co-chairs Meredith Counce, Courtney Kerr Noonan, and Alex Snodgrass (a.k.a. The Defined Dish) kicked off the purposeful week of swiping and tapping with an energetic and delicious gathering at NorthPark Center. The Fall Fashion Preview Brunch once again returned to JOEY Dallas (another JOEY location recently opened on Maple Avenue), where the sold-out crowd noshed on a delicious spread that included JOEY’s fantastic Osaka-pressed, fire-torched salmon sushi. Set at each place setting, attendees went home with a pink raspberry chocolate teddy bear named Eddie from Swiss chocolatier (and NorthPark retailer) Läderach. JOEY Dallas, NorthPark Center, and Courtney and Kyle Noonan generously underwrote the brunch.

After remarks from both Bank of Texas’ Michelle George and the co-chairs, who shared a few words about utilizing your influence for good and encouraging friends to buy a Partners Card, a fashion show from NorthPark retailers Scanlan Theodore, Lucchese, L’Agence, and Lafayette 148 followed. It definitely instigated “the shoppies,” as guests shared what was on their *lists* for Partners Card.

Impact: The Family Place CEO Tiffany Tate thanked attendees and assured them that 100 percent of the purchase of a Partners Card goes back to The Family Place and its mission to empower survivors of domestic violence by providing safe housing, counseling, and skills that create independence. More specifically, each $100 Partners Card purchased provides one night of safety for a survivor or family rebuilding after violence. Since 1993, Partners Card has raised more than $22 million, resulting in true community transformation.
