While certainly a popular haunt for those with ample discretionary income, Tenenbaum Jewelers on Westheimer particularly swarmed on this midday with a collection of high-style femmes who had gathered to celebrate the upcoming Una Notte in Italia gala. And, boy, did they arrive in style. The parking area was filled with a mind-boggling collection of luxury cars, besting anything outside of a Rolls-Royce dealership.
Yes, these ladies, who are among the key players in the November 15 gala at the Omni Houston Hotel, drive some fancy wheels. Think Porsche, big Mercedeses, Bentleys and more. Adding to the four-wheel phenoms that had the valet parkers on their toes was a Lamborghini and a new Rolls, both from IndiGO Auto Group, which is serving as the automobile sponsor of the men’s fashion evening, hosted by Festari for Men.
Headlining the glam group were supreme fashionistas and luncheon co-chairs Duyen Huynh and Melissa Holman Juneau along with gala chairs Rachel Bagwell and Sneha Merchant and honorary chair Debbie Festari.
The champagne flowed and air kisses exchanged as the throng perused the ever-so-tempting collection of fabulous jewels on display in the Tenenbaum vitrines. Of particular interest was the Buccellati collection on display in the light-filled salon, designed specifically for hosting such events. The lovely Christina Stith, wearing fab Buccellati earrings while subbing for Tenenbaum owners and luncheon hosts Tony Bradfield and Kevin Black, welcomed the ladies as they were seated for lunch by Monarch Hospitality.
In keeping with the Italian heritage of the gala and that of the Festari family behind it, the menu featured burrata salad, chicken scallopini and an elegant dessert station with prosecco. Thus, the focus on the Italian house of Buccellati.
Black was away at med school but after lunch Bradfield stepped in to greet the ladies. Both gents are among the business leaders and athletes that will walk the runway in Festari fashions on the lively evening that will benefit the Houston Area Women’s Center. HAWC CEO Emilee Whitehurst was among guests and spoke to the gathering on the important work of the agency that aids women who are the victims of domestic abuse.
