What: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital inaugural Gold Luncheon
Where: Hilton Post Oak
PC Moment: Nha Khanh designer Khanh Nguyen presented 40 looks from her collections of elegance and modern sensibility, a fashionable diversion from the days mission of support for St. Jude’s. However, the noble cause behind the luncheon was brought home through the testimonial of a young St. Jude’s patient who owned the runway when she, her mother, and Nguyen joined hands for their moment in the spotlight. Speaking to the cause was luncheon chair Sneha Merchant.
The luncheon honored four families who are key to the city’s philanthropic core — Brigitte and Bashar Kalai, Duyen and Marc Nguyen, Tracy and Harry Faulkner, and Dr. Sippi and Ajay Khurana.
Who: Honorary chair Carolyn Farb, Gina Gaston, Ayesha Jokhio, Alice Brams, Rose Chen, Joe Jamail Jr., Todd Ramos, Viet Hoang, Monica Garcia, Melissa Gonzales, Yasmine Hadeed, Mandy Kao, Gina Li, and Nick Merchant.
