Dear Evan Hansen
Following its enormously successful run on Broadway, Dear Evan Hansen will be showing at Music Hall at Fair Park beginning on November 26. The cautionary tale about how a lie can spread across a community, the story follows Evan, played by Stephen Christopher Anthony, and his journey as an anxiety-ridden high school misfit who is desperate for recognition from his peers.
The six-time Tony winning production will show in Dallas until December 8. Tickets start at $45.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in Concert
Head to Meyerson Symphony Center this weekend to watch Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone along with a live performance of John William’s unforgettable score by Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Shows take place this Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 9:30 pm, and Sunday at 2 pm. Tickets start at $48.

Disney on Ice
This weekend, the Allen Event Center will be transformed into all things Disney on Ice. Dream Big features scenes from Coco, as Miguel aspires to be a musician and journeys through the Land of the Dead to unlock his family’s history, Moana as she restores the stolen heart of Te Fiti, and Anna and Elsa from Frozen as they save their kingdom.
Shows take place from November 27 through December 1 and tickets begin at $35.

The Nutcracker
From November 29 through December 1, Texas Ballet Theater is featuring The Nutcracker at Winspear Opera House. The most magical Christmas tradition of the season, see Clara and her Nutcracker Prince travel throughout a winter wonderland to meet the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Kingdom of Sweets. The show will come back next weekend as well, then head to Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth from December 13 through December 29. Tickets start at $25.

Cowboys vs. Bills Thanksgiving Game (and Ellie Goulding)
Catch the Dallas Cowboys as they take on the surprising Buffalo Bills at 3:30 pm Thanksgiving Day at AT&T Stadium. Along with the game, Grammy Award-nominated and multi-platinum singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding will perform live at halftime.

Vitruvian Lights Lighting Ceremony
Each year in Addison, the Christmas lights at Vitruvian Park are a sight to see. This year’s lighting ceremony takes place on Friday at 6 pm. Besides flipping the switch, the night will include a performance by the Jordan Kahn Orchestra, gourmet food trucks, sweet treats, free photos with Santa, classic holiday characters, an elf balloon artist and more.

Home for the Holidays in Downtown McKinney
The 39th Annual Home for the Holidays: A McKinney Christmas takes place in downtown McKinney this Friday through Sunday. Besides the tree lighting ceremony, there will be tons of activities and food for the whole family during the three-day festival. A ferris wheel and carousel will be there, but it’s the real snow hill that transforms the square into a winter wonderland.

Light Up Lowest Greenville
Head over to Lowest Greenville this Saturday for the 3rd Annual Light Up Lowest Greenville event. From 4 pm to 8 pm, meet Santa and have drinks specials and samples at several bars in the area, including Rapscallion, Libertine, Alamo Club and more. Reverse Food Truck will also be on-site to collect canned goods. The tree lighting takes place at 7 pm.

A Peter White Christmas
For a night of jazz and holiday music, go to Majestic Theater this Sunday to see smooth jazz guitarist Peter White and fellow performers Euge Groove, Vincent Ingala and Lindsey Webster. A Peter White Christmas! starts at 5 pm and tickets begin at $110.

Next Tuesday might as well still be the weekend in Dallas-Fort Worth as Dickies Arena is hosting 106.1 KISS FM’s Jingle Ball. This year’s star-studded lineup includes Camila Cabello, Sam Smith, Charlie Puth, Lizzo, Lauv and Why Don’t We. Tickets start at $32.50.
