Beyonce’s Workout Plan Is Just the Beginning: 5 Fashion Collaborations Worth Getting Excited About

BY // 04.25.16

Sometimes two heads really are better than one, especially when the result of said team effort is a one-of-a-kind commodity. As the retail marketplace continues to evolve, brands and stores across the world are launching unique collaborations to set themselves apart.

From international superstars to gourmet candy boutiques, we can’t get enough of these five collabs.

Beyonce’s Workout Plan
Before Queen Bee dropped her highly anticipated album Lemonade, the songstress released a different kind of project — an expansive line of athleisure apparel.

Beyonce partnered with British-based fashion retailer Topshop for Ivy Park, a mix of fashion-forward active and casual wear designed to complement all body types.

The best thing about this collaboration? Ivy Park has no expiration date. The collection is a permanent staple in Topshop’s inventory.

Nordstrom’s Beauty Moment
Nordstrom is diversifying its monthly pop-in shops with a beauty first. The department store has partnered with cult-favorite skincare brand Aesop for a beauty installment of the Pop-in at Nordstrom series.

Customers will not only have access to Aesop’s bevy of botanical products (including Nordstrom’s VP of Creative Projects Olivia Kim‘s top picks), but Aesop experts will also be on hand for recommendations.

The collections is available through Sunday, May 22, at select Nordstrom locations (including Dallas’ Northpark Center, as well as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, McLean (VA), Bellevue (WA), Seattle and Vancouver).

Socks Are the New Black
2016 is off to a busy start for Rihanna. Earlier this year, the Barbados-born entertainer announced she would partner with famed shoe designer Manolo Blahnik on a collection named Denim Dessert.

While the project has yet to be released, Rihanna is already off to her next collaborative venture — this time with Stance socks. The spring/summer collection with the brand marks Rihanna’s third partnership with Stance.

Prints Charming
An explosion of prints lands at Target via Finnish fashion and design company Marimekko. The brand partnered with Target for womenswear, kids, accessories, home and outdoor collections, which feature everything from swim suits to hammocks to bicycles.

Each line showcases Marimekko’s signature bold colors and vivacious prints.

Sugafina x Nordstrom
Thanks to luxury candy boutique Sugarfina, Nordstrom just got a lot more sweet. The companies have joined forces for a line of in-house Sugafina boutiques within the Nordstrom department store.

The brand’s Houston outpost, which will stock Sugarfina’s unique sweet offerings (think champagne gummy bears and candy bento boxes), is now open.
