Monkee’s, an upscale women’s boutique, is now open in The Shops at Clearfork. The 1,127 square-foot store sells designer shoes, clothing and accessories. It is located on Marathon Avenue next-door to B&B Butchers & Restaurant.
The boutique is designed to feel like shopping in your girlfriend’s closet. With stylish slate floors and cozy seating areas, there is plenty to peruse, from NEST Candles to finishing touches and handbags.
“I first heard about Monkee’s over 10 years ago, through one of my close friends, who lived in Winston-Salem, where the franchise is headquartered,” says owner Harriet McKinney, who is a Fort Worth native. “When she visited Fort Worth, I always noticed her cute clothes. When I would inquire where the outfits were from, the answer was always ‘Monkee’s.’ ”
Now, McKinney has brought a Monkee’s to Fort Worth.
Monkee’s of Fort Worth carries designer lines such as Crosby, Tyler Boe, AG Adriano Goldschmied Premium Denim Jeans, Anna Cate, Cupcakes and Cashmere, Connally and Gal Meets Glam
“We also provide services like personal shopping and styling consultations,” McKinney says. And, with the holidays fast approaching, Monkee’s can even gift wrap and ship nationwide.
The Fort Worth store is only the second Monkee’s location in Texas (the other is in Houston). There are currently 26 independently-owned and operated Monkee’s boutiques scattered across the United States.
