Once Hot Dallas Restaurant and Entertainment Mecca Enjoys a Rebirth
Victory is Ours?

Victory Park is enjoying a rebirth of sorts, with a flurry of new construction and openings.
After three years, Tristan Simon makes a re-entrée into the restaurant and entertainment biz with several hot new projects in the flourishing district. (Simon was the mastermind behind Consilient Restaurants’ The Porch, Victor Tangos, and Hibiscus, which Headington Companies acquired in 2014.)
Rebees, Simon’s new restaurant group, will open and operate three new yet-to-be-named concepts, with openings slated for late 2017: a 4,000-square-foot retail space specializing in locally made, yet-to-be-announced goods; a co-working space and cafe; and Simon’s updated take on a Texas saloon.
Other openings include Tex-Mex fave Mesero, debuting in early 2018, while Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas and luxury apartment complex The 23 are slated to open later this year.
Recently, the district created a public art program, with a fitting “V” hand-sign sculpture called Heavy Handed by Los Angeles-based artist Nathan Mabry;.A large-scale sculpture by Las Vegas artist Tim Bavington will pop up this summer.
