The Coolest Sunglasses Ever?
Warby Parker Channels Kerouac, Challenges Eyewear Norms With New Dallas Store
By Samantha Klaassen //
A little more than two years after it first landed in Dallas’ Knox-Henderson neighborhood, eyewear boutique Warby Parker is set to open a second location, in NorthPark Center, later this fall.
Named after two characters in one of Jack Kerouac‘s journals, Warby Parker offers cool, stylish specs and sunglasses that are also available for at-home try-on when bought online. The brand, which believes in creative thinking, smart design, and doing good, is a trailblazer for socially conscious businesses — for every pair of glasses sold, another is distributed to someone in need.
In honor of the new Dallas shop, Warby Parker is releasing the Downing 16 sunglasses in Whiskey Tortoise with limited-edition blue lenses, and — move over, everyone’s favorite dog filter — it will also have various Snapchat filters all opening weekend long. Stay tuned for the opening date announcement!

Warby Parker, NorthPark Center, 469.513.8563.
