The Wedding Diplomat

He’s planned extravagant weddings on the Amalfi Coast and the first nuptials ever held at Winspear Opera House; most recently, he flew a custom piñata wedding cake from Dallas to Cabo. This month, the charming (and over-the-top) Julian Leaver launches his own company, The Dapper Diplomat.

“My approach is centered around listening to your dreams and pulling from the travels, architecture, interior design or art that inspires you, to create a bespoke, guest-focused event,” he says.

For 12 years, Leaver has burnished his résumé by staging weddings and events at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek and Rosewood Crescent hotel, as well as working closely with the talented Junior Villanueva at The Garden Gate and as director of weddings and events at Bella Flora.
