Given carte blanche, what can a talented clutch of American Society of Interior Designers do when handed a 6,886 square foot home to decorate? Hold on to your tape measure: A full house of 21 ASID members took on a swank new dwelling in River Oaks for the ASID Texas Gulf Coast Show House. And the results are inspirational.
If you missed the show house tour, here is your chance to explore room by room.
So often, new builds and resales are “staged” with limited funds and therefore limited decorative ideas. This home, on the other hand, is dressed top to bottom (and that means all three floors) in full interior design regalia. Beautifully embroidered decorative pillows, French antiques and fabulous paintings are found throughout the house, which is listed for $3,899,000.
ASID partnered with Rallin Welch of Welch Builders & Brokers on the swank new dwelling at 2104 Chilton Road.
It took all of the 21 designers to pull off the dramatic decor for the first-floor living areas, plus the five bedrooms, five baths, two half baths, a veranda, wine cellar, game room, fitness area, media room and study.
Check out their design inspirations in the photos above.
