When the heat index pushes into the three figure zone, there are only a few reasons to venture out. One would be a celebratory open house of a new build with all four key parties involved hosting. So it was that a throng of more than 100 landed on the doorstep at 10907 Walwick Drive in Hunter’s Creek.
Travis Mattingly of Architectural Solutions, Inc., interior designer Elizabeth Garrett Dewitt of Elizabeth Garrett Interiors and John Daugherty, Realtors’ Barbara Josephson and Tania Amin Shirazi co-hosted the evening event held at Cupic Custom Homes newly listed home.
Making the open house all the more interesting, interior furnishings and art were provided by a host of interiors firms — Back Row Home, Custom Creations Furniture, James Craig Furnishings, Joyce Horn Antiques, Laura Rathe Fine Art, Madison Lily Rugs and Vieux Interiors.
Guests perused every square inch of the 7,726 square foot dwelling which boasts six bedrooms and six full baths, three half baths. Of particular interest was the second floor porch with fireplace in addition to two covered outdoor entertaining areas at ground level with fireplace and summer kitchen.
A European ambience echoes throughout the home which boasts European white oak hardwood floors with hand beveled edges, Ann Sacks tile, reclaimed beams, and stunning Blaylock steel doors and windows, slat roof and copper gutters.
