Downtown Hotel Restaurant Pulls Out All the Stops in Worldly Night

PC Moment: It was a feast for Tiger Ball patrons as the hotel restaurant’s Line & Lariat team pulled out the stops to present an array of Asian-inspired dishes representing various corners of the Asian world, a reflection that this Saturday night’s Tiger Ball will salute participating Asian nations.
Executive chef Laura Trigo established food stations around the restaurant, an array that included a Thai bowl arena offering Thai bowls to order, a Mediterranean tapas station, a flautas station and a dessert presentation offering mini desserts from around the world.
Leading the program were Asia Society president Bonna Kol; Joni Baird of Chevron, Tiger Ball presenting sponsor, and gala honoree Gordon Quan who addressed the universality of the planet’s Asian world.
Gala co-chair Sultana Mangalji hosted the gathering.
Who: Honoree Sylvia Quan plus Y. Ping Sun, Dr. Theresa Chang, Nancy Allen, Miguel Cortez, Gigi Huang, Patrick and Caroline Long, Lulu Tan and Hugh Zhang.
