An Evening Picnic Makes This Green Gala a True Southern Charmer
By Errin Maye //
This spring, expect to see a lot more green, from the runway to fresh-cut lawns. What a perfect time to get inspired and excited for the Memorial Park Gala.
The much-anticipated annual event includes a refreshing cocktail reception and seated dinner benefiting Memorial Park Conservancy, with everything catered by the venue. Gather up a group of friends or colleagues for an intimate evening picnic. Picture Texas’ Southern hospitality, Mason jars, checkered linens, and plenty of comfort food.
Gala co-chairs Kit Detering and Carmen Knapp; honorees Stephanie and Brad Tucker; and Ima Hogg Volunteer of the Year Award recipient David Doherty all get a moment in the spotlight. Dancing to the hits with DJ Damon Pampolina is also part of the fun. Just come dressed in your cutest and dapper picnic attire (no ties), dancing shoes, and be ready to ring in spring the right way.
