New California Color Bar Swoops Into North Texas With Visions of Making Beauty a Breeze

The Next Frontier in Hair Care?

BY // 05.21.19

Madison Reed, a hair color beauty company based in San Francisco, is opening its first Color Bar at The Shops of Legacy in Plano. With locations already in California and New York, this will mark Madison Reed Color Bar’s Texas debut. The new spot is expected to open in August at 5717 Legacy Drive, Suite I65.

“Madison Reed first revolutionized the at-home hair color process by offering products free from ammonia, parabens and glutens, and that are enriched with ingredients like argan oil, keratin and ginseng root,” the company claims in its promotional materials.

The brand is now expanding to offer a physical place for time-pressed clients to get color treatments for $60. This includes permanent color applied to the roots. Or for 35 minutes and $35, clients can get an express root touch-up using a demi-permanent color service that lasts two weeks.

“Color Bars are our next frontier,” says Amy Errett, Madison Reed CEO and co-founder. “We are already disrupting the at-home hair color industry, and we will keep innovating for those women who want to color at home. But there will always be women who want to have someone else do it.”

The Shops at Legacy was chosen for the in-person experience that Plano shoppers desire.

“We continue to receive great interest from brands born online who want a physical presence in a destination atmosphere like ours here in Plano,” says vice president and senior leasing director of RPAI Jason Kasal.

Appointments will be available to book online and include roots only, roots plus gloss, and color reviving gloss treatments.
