Dallas’ 20 Most Exciting Restaurant Openings in 2025

Highly Anticipated Italian, French, Seafood, Greek, and Japanese Concepts To Look Forward To

BY

In 2024, the number of Dallas restaurant openings was nearly impossible to keep up with, and we’re expecting the same in 2025. As our dining scene ramps up to welcome the latest local concepts, as well as some nationally (and internationally)-recognized spots coming to town, we’re zeroing in on the absolute most exciting new Dallas restaurants slated to open in 2025.

Updated on June 14, 2025

ELLA

7949 Walnut Hill Lane, Suite 130

On June 17, the former Chido Taco Lounge officially transforms into this new American bistro from the same owner, Blaine McGowan. Former Rye bar manager Julian Shaffer, who won the 2024 MICHELIN Guide Texas Exceptional Cocktails Award, and Executive Chef Kyle Farr (Sachet, Boulevardier) are leading the new concept. ELLA will first open for dinner, with lunch and brunch launching later on. The only aspect that is not changing in the space is the tequila speakeasy upstairs, Customs.

Mamani

2681 Howell Street

Finally opening this summer, this new modern European fine dining restaurant comes from Feels Like Home hospitality group (Namo, Bar Colette — a 2025 James Beard Award Finalist), co-owned by brothers Brandon Cohanim and Henry Cohanim. They’ve brought on Christophe de Lellis (formerly at Vegas’ Joël Robuchon) as Executive Chef & Partner. The dinner-only restaurant will blend French and Italian influences, and the interiors are helmed by London-based Bryan O’Sullivan Studio, best known for designing the restaurant in London’s famous Claridges Hotel. A garden terrace will provide al fresco dining. Next door, the team’s bakery, Bread Club, will open later on.

Sushi Kozy

2000 Ross Avenue, Suite 150

A new omakase experience, Sushi Kozy comes from Chef Paul Ko (formerly Head Sushi Chef at Uchi Dallas). The new spot will open in the Dallas Arts District this June. Dallas’s Ross Demers (Cry Wolf) is on board as Chef de Cuisine, and the two plan to “bring a distinctive balance of precision and creativity to [the] menu,” General Manager Bronson Kang tells us. “Inspired by Ko’s last name, we aim to create a cozy and welcoming dining atmosphere that complements our Japanese tasting menu.”

The 17-course omakase experience costs $185 per person. Guests can also add on sake, beer, wine, or sake cocktails to their dinner.

Élephante

2323 Cedar Springs Road

Set to debut at 23Springs in Fall 2025, this new spot is a coastal Italian restaurant from Los Angeles. Founded by Nicholas Mathers of Wish You Were Here Group (a multi-concept hospitality group), Élephante began as a rooftop bar and restaurant in Santa Monica. The Dallas outpost will mark its third location and will command an 11,000-square-foot space at a standalone two-story building facing Maple Avenue. The menu includes wood-fired pizzas, pasta, a popular whipped eggplant dip, family-style dishes, and cocktails.

It is taking a one-story, 3,000-square-foot building facing the office building’s park. This is the first Little Ruby’s restaurant outside of New York City, giving Dallas a new spot for “brekkie,” lunch, and dinner.

Frenchie

8420 Preston Center Plaza

Expected to debut this summer, this new French-inspired all-day café from Travis Street Hospitality (Le PasSage, Georgie) is taking over the former Corner Bakery space at The Plaza at Preston Center. Culinary Director Bruno Davaillon will lead the kitchen with a menu focusing on “French cuisine rooted in Mediterranean influences and a healthy California approach.” There will be a coffee bar in the morning, as well as soft-serve ice cream and waffles, salads, and grilled fish and meat.

Think moody, romantic vibes with dark wood and white tablecloths and candlelight. Open for lunch and dinner, the menu will offer fajitas made with smoked quail, smoked sausage, and more. The drink program will feature “elevated” margaritas with “a refined and unique take on this classic Mexican drink.”

New York-based upscale Greek restaurant Avra Estiatorio will be opening its first Texas location in Dallas later this summer. It’ll be in a 14,000-square-foot space in Uptown’s The Crescent. One of the highlights of the new location is The Conservatory — a glass café surrounded by greenery, creating an indoor/outdoor atmosphere. The spot serves lunch and dinner, and you can find bites like salads, sashimi, and Greek classics including spanakopita, halloumi, and souvlaki on the menu. A favorite is the Avra Chips, crispy thin sliced zucchini and eggplant.

Serritella Prime Italian Steakhouse

A three-in-one Italian concept is taking over the former Matt’s Rancho Martinez in 2025, according to the Dallas Morning News. Serritella Prime Italian Steakhouse comes from Lakewood Hospitality Group and will be led by former Executive Chef of Fachini, Ryan Ferguson. The website states that Serritella will serve “freshly made pasta, pizza, and Texas akaushi wagyu steaks,” while the market of the same name will feature a cold case of fresh steaks, seafood, and housemade sausage and meatballs. Pasta, gelato, breads, wine, and sandwiches will be available to go — as well as takeout from the restaurant. The third concept will be COSA Speakeasy Lounge.

The Oxford Rose Tavern & Supper Club

Taking over the former Sugar Factory space at The Miró in Uptown, The Oxford Rose Tavern & Supper Club will bring live entertainment and dining to the neighborhood this summer. Managed by Ceferin Olive (formerly of Harwood International), the new spot will offer American cuisine with European influences. The space was designed by New York-based designer Josh Held, whose portfolio includes Tao Las Vegas, Zouk Ginza Tokyo, and even NDA Brasserie in the Harwood District. The Oxford Rose will be divided into two spaces: The Tavern and The Supper Club.

Sauvage

1914 Commerce Street

Husband-and-wife chefs Casey and Amy LaRue (La Rue Doughnuts, Carte Blanche) are opening an intimate, wood-fire omakase experience at The Statler later this summer. Sauvage will debut in a suite with street access off Commerce, featuring only 10 seats per dinner. They will source meats and seafood from Texas purveyors like wild boar & venison from Broken Arrow Ranch, as well as fish from Minamoto Food in Austin. The menu will change regularly, but will feature dishes such as “a petite housemade Carte Blanche croissant with a smoked crème fraiche and Kristal caviar, an A5 Wagyu ribeye with a black winter truffle, or a Moroccan antelope sausage served with pistachio, fermented harissa, and caramelized yogurt.”

The menu at Urban Italia will feature wood-fired pizzas, homemade pasta, risotto, and more.

The new spot will also offer a sushi bar, wine, and sake.

Caffe Lucca

We are also still eagerly awaiting the opening of this new all-day restaurant from former Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett, Julian Barsotti (Nonna, Fachini, etc.), and former NFL quarterback Babe Laufenberg. Barsotti recently debuted the new Los Charros Tex-Mex Smokehouse at The Graduate hotel near SMU.

EVELYN (Now Open)

1201 Turtle Creek Boulevard

Opened in Dallas’ Design District this spring, EVELYN is a glamorous new female-forward steakhouse from the owners of The Mexican. Designed by ICRAVE design firm (Catch, STK), the restaurant’s 9,500-square-foot space will feature several rooms inspired by different eras of entertainment. The Piano Room is an intimate dining room where guests can enjoy the full menu of steak, seafood, and craft cocktails. Guests can also enjoy drinks at the main bar in The Ruby Room. And Room Seven is a late-night lounge with a “’70s and ’80s dance floor vibe.” Read our review here.

The Hampton Social (Now Open)

1520 Main Street

A Nashville favorite, this Chicago-based restaurant opened its first Texas outpost in Downtown Dallas this spring. It took over the former Iron Cactus space. The four-story, 17,224-square-foot space offers expansive indoor, outdoor, and rooftop dining areas, featuring a 360-degree bar and The Hampton Social’s signature “Rosé All Day” neon sign. This is the first location to offer a members-only club called the Hampton House. “Designed for high-achieving professionals and entrepreneurs, this private experience is curated for those seeking to immerse themselves even further in The Hampton Social lifestyle, to connect, unwind, and enjoy a vibrant social scene. Membership is by invitation or application only.”

Winsome Prime (Now Open)

331 Singleton Boulevard

Opened in the former Network Bar space in West Dallas’ Trinity Groves, this steakhouse and lounge comes from the team behind the restaurant of the same name (formerly The Warwick) in Houston. The sleek space features exposed brick, black and white photos on the walls (there’s one with dynamic duo Snoop Dog and Martha Stewart), and a whiskey room. As for the menu, it takes a global twist on the Southern steakhouse. It’s one of our 5 favorite Dallas restaurants right now.
