High Fashion, High Jewelry and High Times Ensure This Gala Reaches for the Stars

What: KnowAutism “Reach for the Stars” gala
Where: The Briar Club
PC Moment: High fashion, high jewelry and high times punctuated this evening benefiting a noble cause, funding for the non-profit KnowAutism which works to provide financial aid and resources to families with children with autism. With community awareness as another goal, what better way to grab the spotlight than with stunning jewels from Van Cleef & Arpels, gala sponsor.
Donae and Rob Chramosta and Amy and Rob Pierce joined forces to chair the dinner evening that drew a crowd of more than 250 and raised a record $375,000.
The evening’s entertainment included a fashion presentation, chaired by Kimberly Perich, of the latest looks from The Webster in the Galleria. The French retailer and fashion designer Laure Hériard Dubreuil served as honoree of the evening.
Dr. Sippi and Ajay Khurana were presented the inaugural KnowAutism Humanitarian award during the program that was emceed by KHOU Channel 11’s Deborah Duncan.
Who: Tammy and Wayne Nguyen, Brigitte and Bashar Kalai, Diane Caplan, Stephanie Perkins, Debbie and Rudi Festari, Tracy and Harry Faulkner, Carolyn Farb, Jackie Fair, Jennifer and Rick Klein, and songbird Kelly Levesque, who debuted a song, “I Won’t Let You Down,” that evening to KnowAutism.
Designer David Peck not only designed Tammy Nguyen and Levesque’s gowns, he also surprised guests by joining the singer in “This Is My Prayer.”
