PC Moment: El Centro’s CEO Marcie Mir‘s remarks on the non-profit’s efforts toward improving access to health care for low income families and communities set the stage for keynote speaker and NPR anchor/reporter Maria Hinojosa, who captivated the crowd with a personal testimony to the importance of El Centro and other like-minded organizations benefitting the needy and under-served. The six-figure amount raised goes directly toward El Centro’s patients, 97 percent of whom live below the federal poverty level.
